Overview

The volunteer will spend most of the time in pre-school with children age 1,5 to 6 years, so it is important that the volunteer wants to be around children, assist teachers to take care of them, watch their steps and first words were spoken. Daily routines of play, learning, some up to 3h of outdoor time, additional forest time. Volunteers will be a helping hand for the teachers, we would like to develop skills and passions for the volunteer, so there are opportunities to create regular workshops and activities for the children. Volunteers together will be responsible to manage and develop the Instagram page @preilivolunteers, so it will be one of the tasks to get showing their everyday life, experiences, be active, and transfer the experiences also to the world through Instagram. Depending on restrictions we would like for volunteers to organise events, workshops, and activities also for the wider community in Preili and other municipalities. Preili is a small place with 7000 inhabitants.

Eligibility

They would like to see a motivated young person, who likes children, wants to spend quality time with them, is physically active (a lot of running and playing outdoor games). The main requirement is to want to work in pre-school and with kids. According to the regulation, as volunteering is in pre-school, a young person needs to have proof of COVID-19 vaccination (EU certificate with QR code).
Participants from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Spain, Greece, Finland, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia.

Benefits

Accommodation is provided in a three-room flat where each of the volunteers has their own room, a common living room, a shared kitchen, and a bathroom. The flat is in nice condition for living, with a balcony, fully furnished, with all things needed. Food for volunteers will be covered while in kindergarten, they will have breakfast, lunch, and snacks. They will provide money for additional food expenses and shopping together. Travel costs are covered according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator. They do not have public transport in Preili.
