Park Theatre Scholarships 2026 are available for Summer Youth Theatre Programs

Park Theatre Announces Six Scholarships for Summer Youth Theatre Programs

Park Theatre Scholarships 2026 are available. The Park Theatre has announced that it will award six scholarships to local students for its 2026 summer youth theatre programs, helping make arts education more accessible to young people across the Monadnock Region. Scholarship recipients are expected to be announced on July 1, 2026.

The initiative aims to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent students from participating in theatre education. According to the theatre, involvement in performing arts programs can help young people build confidence, communication skills, creativity, teamwork abilities, and academic success.

Four Scholarships for Summer Theatre Workshop Camp

Four full scholarships, each valued at $350, will be awarded for the Park Arts Summer Theatre Workshop Camp, designed for students in grades 3–8. The two-week program begins on July 6, 2026, and will conclude with a production of the classic story Pinocchio. Participants will gain experience in acting, voice, movement, stage presence, and collaboration while performing on The Park Theatre’s professional stage.

Two Scholarships for Theatre Craft Workshop

In addition, The Park Theatre will offer two full scholarships worth $175 each for its Theatre Craft Workshop for high school students. Beginning on July 13, the one-week program focuses on the technical side of theatre production, including lighting, sound, stagecraft, set construction, props, and backstage operations. Students will receive hands-on experience and learn about potential career opportunities in the performing arts industry.

Supporting Access to Arts Education

Steve Jackson, CEO and Managing Director of The Park Theatre, emphasized the importance of ensuring that every young person has access to artistic opportunities regardless of financial circumstances. The scholarship program is intended to help students discover talents, strengthen communication skills, and gain experiences that can benefit them throughout their lives.

The scholarships and Park Arts programs are supported through funding provided by the Eppes-Jefferson Foundation. The theatre notes that participants often leave the programs with greater self-confidence, new friendships, and a lasting sense of accomplishment.

How to Apply

Students and families interested in applying for a scholarship or enrolling through regular tuition can contact The Park Theatre directly. Applications must be submitted before the scholarship award date of July 1, 2026. Limited spaces remain available in both summer programs.

Why This Opportunity Matters

Arts education plays a significant role in helping young people develop both creative and practical life skills. Programs such as those offered by The Park Theatre provide students with opportunities to improve public speaking, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-expression while gaining valuable performance or technical theatre experience. For many students, scholarship opportunities can be the key to accessing these benefits regardless of their financial situation.
